The Paddock Wellness Club
I have had the pleasure of shooting content for the Paddock for over a year now. Our most recent collaboration fruited some lovely summery, more social results, that pair nicely with the previous shoot in November ‘25 where we went for a more relaxed, wintery vibe.
Sauna and wellness shoots are always what I get the most questions about when talking about my work. They seem difficult to compose from the outside, however my experience in hospitality as well as on film sets has given me the tools to naturally suggest positioning and direct people in a way that doesn’t seem too intense. More often than not, I’m there to observe, to see how the volunteers use the space. I may give suggestions occasionally, “talk to this person for a minute”, or “could we try having you facing this direction”, but nothing too posed.
Ultimately, I’m here to best portray a venue in a professional but natural way, so leaving a lot of the direction up to the volunteers shows how the space is used. My job then becomes how to best frame that in order to get the best results.
